How does breast reduction surgery work?
Breast reduction is one of our most common procedures and offers a lasting solution for breasts that are too large and heavy. During the operation, excess skin and glandular tissue are removed, and the breast is lifted and reshaped, giving it a more youthful and harmonious shape.
Depending on the situation, scars may be left around the nipple, vertically across the breast and in some cases in the crease under the breast (creating an inverted T shape). Using Dr Farhadi's "inner bra" technique, the tissue is also given extra stable support, resulting in long-lasting and stable results.
For women of all ages, breasts that are too large can not only cause distress for aesthetic reasons, but can also lead to back pain, poor posture and skin irritation in the crease under the breasts. Breast reduction surgery can effectively remedy these complaints.
About the treatment
During breast reduction surgery, excess skin and glandular tissue are removed, and the breast is lifted and reshaped. This gives it a harmonious shape and reduces its weight.

FAQs
Are the scars visible?
Breast reduction surgery leaves scars around the nipple, vertically across the breast and in the crease under the breast. With good scar care, these usually fade significantly over time and are often barely visible.
Can I still breastfeed after the operation?
Breast reduction surgery may impair the ability to breastfeed due to the removal of glandular tissue. Whether breastfeeding is possible depends on the individual procedure and the preserved glandular structure.
Can breasts grow larger again?
The breasts may change or grow larger again due to hormonal changes, such as pregnancy or weight fluctuations. However, the extent varies from person to person and depends on the remaining breast structure.
Will I have the same sensation in my nipple after the operation?
In most cases, sensation in the nipple is retained. However, the operation may cause temporary or, in rare cases, permanent changes in sensitivity.
