About the treatment
Fat transfer breast augmentation, also known as lipofilling, is a gentle and natural method for moderately increasing breast volume – without the use of any foreign materials.
How does fat transfer breast augmentation (lipofilling) work?
In the fat transfer breast augmentation method, the body's own fat is removed from certain areas of the body (e.g. abdomen, hips or thighs – depending on your wishes) by means of liposuction, before being specially processes and injected into the breast with precision. As an added benefit, the body silhouette is harmoniously reshaped at the donor sites.
Since not all of the transplanted fat grows permanently, several treatments are usually necessary to achieve the desired result.
This method is ideal if you want natural, moderate breast augmentation and you do not want silicone implants.
To promote the growth of fat cells and optimise long-term results, we offer complementary therapies – for example, to improve blood circulation and tissue quality.
“We set the highest standards for breast reconstruction and develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. This is the only way to achieve the best possible result and the highest possible quality of life.”
FAQs
Are the scars visible?
Fat transfer breast augmentation involves only tiny incisions in the skin, through which fine cannulas are inserted. The scars are therefore barely visible and usually fade to become very discreet.
Is liposuction permanent?
Yes, the removed fat cells are permanently eliminated and cannot reform. However, remaining fat cells can enlarge in the event of significant weight gain. The result is therefore permanent – provided that your weight remains largely stable.
What happens to my breasts if I lose weight?
Since the volume in a fat transfer breast augmentation consists of the body's own fat cells, significant weight loss can also lead to a loss of volume in the breast. The transplanted fat behaves like normal fatty tissue – it can shrink when weight is lost and increase in volume when weight is gained. Minor weight fluctuations usually have little visible effect.
How long do I have to wear the compression garments?
After liposuction as part of fat transfer breast augmentation, you should wear compression garments for about 6 weeks. This aids healing, reduces swelling and helps to achieve an even result at the donor sites. We will discuss the specific schedule for wearing the garments on a case-by-case basis.
