What is oxygen therapy?
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is carried out in a pressure chamber in which pure oxygen is inhaled under elevated ambient pressure. This can significantly increase the oxygen content in the blood – even in tissues that would otherwise be inadequately supplied. It supports the body in regeneration, detoxification, collagen formation and wound healing. The method is used for medical, sporting and preventive purposes – tailored to your individual needs.

FAQs
Is oxygen therapy covered by health insurance?
The costs of hyperbaric oxygen therapy are not covered by basic insurance. However, if there is a medical indication, a request can be made to the supplementary insurance provider. We will be happy to assist you with this, or you can also contact your supplementary insurance provider directly to find out about the possibility of splitting the costs. Our team is always happy to help and provide information.
Are there any injuries or illnesses that would prevent me from undergoing oxygen therapy?
Yes, there are certain medical conditions for which hyperbaric oxygen therapy is not recommended. These include untreated pneumothorax (air leak in the chest), certain lung diseases, acute infections in the nasopharyngeal area, resistant hypertension, fever, and recent surgery in the middle ear or lung area. Individual medical consultation is also necessary in the case of pregnancy or when taking certain medications.
Our team will be happy to provide a personal consultation to clarify whether the therapy is safe for your circumstances.
